Whole Pig Deposit

$500.00

Fill your freezer for the year with 110-150lbs of high quality pork for $10/lb.

Our pigs are raised with the utmost care and fed only the highest quality pig feed. This environment creates the best-tasting, non-GMO, nutrient-rich, and pasture raised pork possible. Because we raise pigs personally and on a small scale, we can offer a product that the grocery store, or even the local butcher, is not able to.

Whole pig deposits are a flat rate that is roughly based on half of the final cost of the pig. Whole pig deposits are a flat rate that is roughly based on half of the final cost of your cuts. Final cost is determined by the final cut weight of the pig and calculated at $10/lb. The remainder of the final payment is due immediately upon butchering of the animal. On average, you can expect 110-150 of high quality pork for your freezer. Final prices of each pig will differ based on their weight and you can expect to pay between $1,100-1,500 for a whole pig.

We take whole pig deposits at the beginning of the year in hopes that we will have your pork ready for you in the fall. There are a few factors that go into that time frame.

  1. Genetic selection: we are highly particular on which pig breeds and from which breeders we are willing to buy pigs. Sometimes that means we have to wait a few weeks for the exact right pigs.

  2. Feed availability: similar to pig selection, the quality of feed that we feed our livestock is very important to us. We have to ensure that we will have all of the right feed for the entirety of the animals life.

  3. Grow out variability: sometimes pigs just take a little longer to grow out than others. We can’t rush perfection!

Cut choices are as unique and varied as the individual so we take a hands-on approach at Pinkfields Farm. After putting in your deposit, this cut sheet will be sent to you and John will reach out to find a time to walk through your options with you. It is vital to us that you have the cuts that your family will eat and enjoy!
